A rooftop bedroom area was constructed on top of this circa 1930’s row house fronting an urban park. The addition is treated as a separate and specific object placed on top of the otherwise self-contained row house below it and utilizes deep overhangs and recesses to maximize park views and minimize solar heat gain and glare.
