This Cleveland Park bungalow located in an historic district was completed remodeled on the inside and an addition added to the rear.  The rooms were opened one to the other with an angled hallway that connects the re-designed front stair all the way back to the new family room and study.  The angle creates a non-typical procession through the space which creates a series of focal points, storage areas and spatial surprises as the viewer moves from front to back.  The angle is then manifest in the skewed bays and structure of the addition both inside and out.  The project involved multiple reviews and determinations by historic staff reviewers and agencies.
